Abstract

As a part of systematic investigation of synthesis and antimicrobial activity of p-amino azobenzene with thymol moiety from different substituted
aromatic amines has been achieved by simple diazotization and coupling method. The synthesized compounds have been screened in vitro for their
antimicrobial activity against B. subtilis, S. aureus and E.coli. Some of the compounds displayed pronounced biological activity. The resulting
products were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and Mass spectroscopic method.
